My teammates were not professional, says Yobo
EAGLES vice captain, Joseph Yobo, has blamed the unprofessional attitude of his teammates for the draw against Tunisia in yesterday's game.
Yobo, who argued with some of his teammates after the game, stated that his teammates played more to the gallery instead of facing the game with all the seriousness it deserve.
"We would have won the game if the players approached the game with a professional attitude instead of playing fancifully. They should have been more serious because of the decisive nature of the game but it's a pity we didn't do the right thing."
The Everton of England defender said he tried to point out the need to win the game to his mates but "they were busy doing what they liked."
Yobo expressed sadness over the tight position Nigeria now finds itself hoping that the Tunisians would slip along the way. "What we need to do is to analyse the situation and see how we can still qualify for the World Cup because it is every players dream to be at the event.
He also said that the match has thought the Nigerian team to always play till the final whistle and not assume that a game is won just because its in the lead few minutes to the end of the game.
