Sir: I have become an ardent observer of people in government vis-ˆ-vis their approach to what concerns the well-being of the citizens. My conclusion is that God Almighty should remain our judge in matters between those governing and the governed.

Should We Forgive IBB? -081109
Sir: I read with shock the letter by Benedicta Apia about forgiving IBB (The Guardian, November 6). As a Christian I am not against forgiving IBB for what he did to Nigeria.

  Legal Victory For Local Governments -081109
Sir: The Yola High Court recently declared that the Adamawa state House of Assembly has no constitutional powers to reduce the tenure of office of local government councils chairmen in the state, midway into the electoral process. The court presided over by the State Chief Judge, Justice Bemari Bansi, therefore declared as void, null and unconstitutional and of no effect, the amendment to the Adamawa local government law administration by the Assembly in 2008.
