The remains of the veteran actor Enebeli Elebuwa were yesterday laid to rest at the Victoria Courts Cemetery. A requiem mass preceded the interment witnessed by a large crowd.

A service of songs for the departed thespian was held at the premises of NTA channel 10 Lagos on Thursday while Enebeli’s junior and senior colleagues —- members of the Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and the other guilds and association in Nollywood —- staged a colourful candle light procession and evening of tributes at the Ojez restaurant in Surulere in honour of the 66-year- old stage and screen actor.

The Delta state governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was singled out for commendation for facilitating Elebuwa’s medical treatment abroad and for ensuring the artiste was accorded a befiiting burial.
