Rejuvenating an old flowerbed requires an analysis of existing plant material on the garden in other to determine which flowers are worth saving. It could also entail shuffling overgrown plants, adding a few new floral characters, and rethinking areas that may not be working in the current garden.

Many times, the root of weed may get to the extent of getting entangled in the root of the flowers, thus making it difficult for them to grow well. It will hen require taking a close at the garden and identifying the healthiest plants.
The bed will then be properly cleared of the old plants and their roots turned over with shovel to loosen the soil and allow air, water and other plant nutrients penetrate the soil.
The healthy plant that has been identified can then be dug out, taking care that this is done properly by trying to keep as much as the root system intact as possible. They are transplanted in the prepared soil while ensuring that their roots, where they originally were, are maintained.
