A pleasurable moment with Nnenna and Friends

 

IT was a pleasurable day for the thousands of families that attended the Nnenna & Friends Easter Show, which held at the National Theatre, Iganmu Lagos on March 31. The show surpassed all expectations, providing top-quality family entertainment to the  over 6,000 kids and adults. Acts such as Lara George, Papa Ajasco & Company, N-Stars, MC Prince, Point X, Trace and wapTV’s Omo Nla featured at the feast, which was supported by several corporate bodies including Indomie, Afrab Chem Ltd., Fumman Juice, Skiddo Foods, McVities Happy faces, Infinity Foods & Beverages and StarTimes. all that attended went home with gifts, prizes and branded souvenirs. The next show comes up on Children’s Day, Monday, May 27 at the National Theatre Iganmu Lagos and would be broadcast on wapTV and several other key stations across Nigeria.

 

This Life   receives commendation

 

THE management and staff of Wale Adenuga Productions Ltd., producer of the award-winning Superstory, Papa Ajasco & Company, Nnenna & Friends and several top-notch TV programmes, have continued to receive commendations from viewers of the popular This Life family drama, which premiered on TV 10 years ago and has since kept viewers glued to their screens with stories that have strong and relevant messages. The current story, titled Grapes of Justice, which debuted on July 2012, is a gripping saga about Ariyike and Jibola, a poor and married, but childless couple, who become millionaires through a series of peculiar events and now have to face a succession of trials situations. The couple are now haunted by their past. The didactic drama, written by Ekenna Udo Igwe and directed by Bolaji Dawodu, stars a number of A-list actors and actresses including, Emmanuel Edokpayi, Steph Nora Okere, Olumide Bakare, Patience Oseni, Baba Dee, Kehinde Bankole, Wale Adebayo, Joseph Nosh, Bariyah James, Oluwanifemi Richard, wapTV’s very own Omo Nla, as well as several budding stars from PEFTI Film Institute. This Life: Grapes of Justice airs weekly on NTA Network (Tuesdays, 8:00 – 8:30pm), wapTV on StarTimes (Saturdays, 8:30 – 9:00pm) as well as on 20 key TV stations across the country.

 

Nse, Clifford’s day in Ikot-Etobo

 

THE traditional wedding ceremony between the actress Nse Ikpe Etim and Clifford Sule held recently is one event that will be on the lips of the people of Ikot-Etobo, Nsit-Obium Local Council of Akwa Ibom State for a long time. It has all the trappings of a successful wedding ceremony. The attendance was huge, the bride price was acceptable to the Ikpe-Etim’s; there was a lot to drink and eat and music was not in short supply either. The singer Waje raised the roof with music supplied by her band while the comic actor and ‘son of the soil’ Bishop Umoh got guests cracking at the ceremony, which was chaired by Barrister Anniefiok Luke, the Nsit-Ubiom representive in the State House of Assembly.
