HONEYWELL Flour Mills Plc has unfolded plans to expand its production capacity, in a bid to accommodate increasing demand for the company’s products.
The disclosure was made at the company’s yearly customers’ forum, in Lagos, where outstanding distributors were rewarded for their performance in the last financial year.
The Executive Vice Chairman, Honeywell Flour Mills, Babatunde Folaranmi Odunayo, while reviewing business operations with distributors at the conference, said 2011, though challenging, was however, a successful year for the company and its business partners.
“Honeywell Flour Mills is a proactive company that is seizing every opportunity for business growth. We are currently expanding production capacity by 1,000 metric tonnes to 2,600 metric tonnes per day, with additional investment in high technology milling plant and machinery. This would be fully commissioned by September this year.
“The increased capacity will permit us to provide more of our products like Honeywell Superfine Flour, Honeywell Wheat Meal, Honeywell Semolina, Honeywell Noodles and Honeywell Pasta and consequently more business and more profit for our customers,” he said.
At the event, outstanding distributors and customers were honoured with various prizes and special awards, among whom were, Alhaji Namadi Inuwa (Gold), Biodun Bella (Special Recognition) and Alhaji Sirajo Ahmed (Gold).
Other customers were also rewarded with Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab/Note, Swatch wristwatch and lots of other valuable prizes.
The forum is a yearly event, where the preceding year’s performance is reviewed and plans for the current year are shared with the customers.
