NAIJAZZ artiste and Afro jazz pianist, Dapo Dina will be teaming up with Grammy- nominated singer Maimouna Youssef, jazz and soul divas Ebisan and OBA, for a special showcase tomorrow at the Jazz Hole, 168, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi at 6pm. Dapo, who recently released three singles from his soon to be released album , Ile on the Naijazz Records platform, has been working on several projects, including reproducing Samba queen, Stella Monye’s hit tracks to celebrate her 30 years on stage. The project included Yinka Davies, Mfon and others. He is also billed to accompany Dr. Tunde Sosan on a piano duet at the forthcoming MUSON piano concert, ‘Romantic Classics’.
His guest Maimouna Youssef aka ‘Mumu Fresh’ is a seasoned singer, emcee, songwriter and poet nominated for a Grammy for her contribution on the Roots hit, Don’t feel right in 2007 for best rap song. They will be accompanied by Ebisan whose Jowo track has bought her rave reviews and OBA, the power packed singer of the Akoda fame.
Jazz Hole is Nigeria’s premier jazz and music shop and has in the past showcased many acts such as Keziah Jones, Asa, Lekan Babalola, Siji, Fatai Rolling Dollar and Faaji Agba among others.
