THE Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has said that them planned 30 megawatts Independent Power Project (IPP) in Ore would be completed and delivered before the end of the year.
Mimiko, who made the submission while addressing members of the League of Imams and Alfas in the state who paid him courtesy visit in his office yesterday, also reiterated his determination to create an enabling environment that will make business thrive in the state.
Mimiko assured that turbines for the project would be shipped to Nigeria before the end of this month.
The governor, who said the project would boost electricity supply, said stable electricity would attract investments and employments to the state.
He commended the peaceful co-existence of the religious leaders and followers in the state, saying the scenario has been instrumental to the progress being recorded in the state for the last four years.
The governor added that his administration was making plans that would ensure that people of state pay their taxes conveniently.
He assured that the results of all his plans would be manifested in his second term, adding that plans are underway to encourage public-private partnership in the state.
President of the League of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Ahmed Aladesawe, who congratulated the governor on his re-election, advised him to always hold regular interactive sessions with religious leaders in the state to sustain the existing peace.
