THE people of Anambra North senatorial zone comprising the Omambala clan of Oyi, Anambra East, Anambra West, Ayamelum, Onitsha North, Onitsha South and Ogbaru, have been assured that all the interconnecting access roads in the area remain top priority in the minds of Gov Peter Obi and Senator Margery Chuba-Okadigbo.

The re-assurance was made yesterday by the Senator at the palace of Igwe Nnaluo Nnaba of Nando, Anambra East Local Government Area during her installation as the Ada-Iguedo clan.

Senator Mrs Chuba-Okadigbo disclosed that she had earlier taken up the matter with Gov Obi who pointed out that he would have mobilized contractors to site if the choice of which of the particular road to start from had been resolved by the people earlier.

The senator therefore appealed to the citizens of the area especially Nando to cooperate with the state government in the provision, protection and preservation of any infrastructure in their area for the benefit of the society and the area.

Giving account of her achievements since regaining her mandate and rejoining the National Assembly she pledged her commitment to the welfare of the entire zone, adding that she would strive to attract more life-enhancing democracy dividends from both the federal and state governments to the constituents.

At a reception for the senator by Nando Political Forum, Chairman of the political forum, Chief Ik Anigbata appealed for more social infrastructure including roads, general hospital, jobs and appointments for Nando sons and daughters while the President General, Dr Kenneth Offorkansi assured her and Gov Obi of their full support and cooperation to enable them achieve maximum success.
