THE Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has elected The Most Revd. Adebayo Dada Akinde as the new Archbishop of Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos.
Akinde succeeds the former Archbishop of Lagos Province, The Most Revd. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, who is the Bishop of Lagos and the Dean of The Church of Nigeria.
Also, The Most Revd. Olusegun Adebola Okubadejo, who until his new appointment as the Archbishop of Ibadan Province, was the Lord Bishop of Diocese of Ibadan North. He succeeds the Most Revd. Joseph Akinfenwa.
The Most Revd. Caleb Anny Maduoma also becomes the new Archbishop of Owerri Province.
Maduoma who succeeds The Most Rev. Bennet Okoro, until his new appointment, was the Bishop of Ideato Diocese.
The new archbishops will be presented on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Asaba, Delta State.
