A DELEGATION of Taraba State Government officials is on its way to visit the ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai, who was last year rushed to Germany as a result of injuries he sustained in the ill-fated air crash of October 25, 2012.

The delegation, led by the Acting Governor, Alhaji Garba Umar, also comprises the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Istifanus Harurna Gbana, the Chief Judge, Josephine Tuktur, and Secretary to the State Government, Emmanuel Njiwah.

Since the crash, which happened in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, this is the first time government officials from Taraba will be visiting the governor. Since the plane crash, there have been conflicting reports about the health of the governor, who some people believe is suffering from severe brain damage, which they said would render him incapacitated for the remaining part of his tenure.

A top government official told The Guardian about the trip: “As I am talking with you now, they are already on their way to Germany because their visas have since been obtained and they all left this state yesterday.”
