Navy approves redeployment of officers

TO ensure greater efficiency, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Dele Joseph Ezeoba, has approved major redeployments in the Nigerian Navy.

The redeployments, released via signals on Monday but announced Tuesday by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Kabir Aliyu, involved Flag Officers Commanding, principal officers of Naval and Defence Headquarters and tri-service institutions and major Naval commands.

According to Commodore Aliyu, “most of the appointments will take effect in the second and third weeks of January 2013.” Details of the redeployments show that Rear Admiral J.N Amaino, former Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Lagos, is now Director of Marine Engineering, Naval Headquarters.

Rear Admiral D.B Boer, former Admiral Superintendent, Naval Shipyard, Port Harcourt, is the new Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Lagos, while Rear Admiral J.B Oladimeji, former Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters, is the new Chief of Administration, Defence Headquarters.

Also, Rear Admiral U.O Jibrin, former Chief of Logistics, Naval Headquarters, who is now Director of Training, Defence Headquarters, just as Rear Admiral K.O Komolafe, the former Chief of Accounts and Budget, is the new Group Managing Director, Nigerian Navy Holdings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The new appointments also include Rear Admiral E.O Ogbor, former Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters, who is the new Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral O.E Ekwe, former Commandant, Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele, is the new Admiral Superintendent, Naval Shipyard, Port Harcourt, while Rear Admiral A.O.A Ikioda, former Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, is the new Moderator, National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru.

Rear Admiral O.B Ogunjimi, former Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command, is the new Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral S.A Orie, former Director of Curriculum and Programme Development, National Defence College, Abuja, is the new Managing Director, Nigerian Navy Engineering Services Support Company Ltd.

Also, Rear Admiral DO Osuofa, Deputy Commandant, AFCSC Jaji, is the new Director of Logistics, Defence Intelligence Agency, Rear Admiral B.M Mshelia, former Chairman, Military Pensions Board, is the new Chief of Accounts and Budget, Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral JO Aikhomu, former Chief of Naval Standard and Evaluation, is the new Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command.

Rear Admiral IE Ibas, former Navy Secretary, is the new Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral GE Okoi, former Flag Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, is the new Director of Plans, Defence Headquarters, and Rear Admiral IA Oyagha, former Director of Transformation, Naval Headquarters, is the new Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters.

Others include Rear Admiral SH Usman, Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters, now the Chief of Naval Standard and Evaluation, and Rear Admiral HO Ngonadi, former Director of Administration, Naval Headquarters, now the Navy Secretary.

Rear Admiral OU Emele, former Moderator, NIPSS, Kuru, is the new Chief of Logistics, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral A Shettima, former Director of Development, Defence Headquarters, is the new Flag Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, while Commodore DS Audu, former Commander, Central Pay Office, is the new Chairman, Military Pensions Board.
