IN a strategic bid to reward excellence and long commitment to advancing the Company, DN Meyer Plc, manufacturers and marketers of high quality paint products, rewarded its long serving staff members in Lagos on Thursday, December 20, 2012.
The very colourful event attracted great personalities who thronged the Company Headquarters at Alausa, Ikeja, to honour the eight staff members who have meritoriously and selflessly served the company between 10 to 20 years.
The Awardees include: Mr. Bankole Babajide Niyi, Screen Printer; Mr. Abuah Robinson, machine operator; Mrs. Ajayi Oluwaseun Adeyemi, Research and development Chemist and Mr. Ngaluwa Joseph Osita, machine operator for 10 years category. Those in the 15 years category are: Mr. Opia Harrison, Electrician and Comrade Adeyemi Timothy, Electrician. The award for 20 years category went to Mr. Ogunbadejo Olayemi, Engineering Superintendent Mechanical in manufacturing and Abimbola James Babalola, Senior staff cadre as Depot Account officer.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. Adeola Omosebi, the Head of Manufacturing, Mrs. K. Ade-Bamboye noted that, the outgoing year is filled with life threatening situations across the country, starting from the oil subsidy removal strike in January. “For all the companies in Nigeria, we were ushered into 2012 with problems - the oil subsidy crisis kept us at home for two weeks, and adversely depleted the economy. But in the midst of all these God sustained us all!”
Mrs. K. Ade-Bamboye stated that, the company is rewarding long serving staff members in keeping with the Company’s corporate policy of rewarding excellence and outstanding achievements. “At DN Meyer Plc, we are committed to identifying and rewarding excellence and dedication to assigned duties.
These staff members’ long service to the company is upbeat and exemplifies our ardent support for value creation and outstanding achievements. We have rolled out drums today to honour them as well as appreciate all the staff for their commitments in their different duties all through the year,” she stated.
She extolled all DN Meyer Plc members of staff for assiduously working to move the company forward. “I commend all the staff for contributing their quota to the progress of the company. Our company has moved from deficit to surplus.”
Comrade Timothy Adeyemi, one of the awardees, who responded on behalf of the recipients, expressed gratitude to the company for recognizing their services. “This will propel us to work harder.”
DN Meyer Plc was incorporated in 1960 and converted to a Public Company in 1979. Its
extensive range of products include Architectural Paints, Wood Paints, Auto refinishes, Industrial and Marine, Road lining Paints, Roof coatings, Tube coatings and HP coatings.
