Rejuvenate The Body With Fruit Salad

MANY people have eaten all kinds of food, both wholesome and unwholesome at this period of festivity. Some have even added weight and have stored many harmful substances in the body as a result of what they have eaten. Now that Christmas celebration is over, there is need to take some foods that can help cleanse the bowel for those that did not observe healthy eating.

Today on this page, you are treated to fruit salad, a wholesome food that is good for bowel cleansing and rejuvenation of the body. Fruit salad as the name implies is made from combinations of various types of raw fruits such as apple, peaches, orange and banana.

Studies have shown that consuming fruits, especially in their raw state, supplies many nutrients like vitamins (vitamin A, B1, B2, C, E), potassium folate (folic acid), iron, dietary fibre, antioxidants and phytochemicals, which promote good health, cleanse the bowel, detoxify harmful substances in the body and make one look younger.

Intake of fruits, studies also show helps to prevent diseases like heart attack, arteriosclerosis, cancer, constipation and premature aging.

Consuming fruit salad also helps in rejuvenating the body system, cleansing the bowel, boosting the immune system to fight against diseases, and maintaining general wellbeing.

Including fruit salad as appetizer during meal will not only help one to stay healthy and sharpen memory, but can also reduce the risk of many illnesses that could lead to premature death.

 Ingredients        Quantities

Melon                  2 small size

Grapes                 200g

Banana                2

Tangerine            3 medium size

Orange                1

Blackberries        100g

or raspberries     100g

Seedless raisins

(dried grape)        50g

Strawberries         250g

 

Method of preparation

Cut the melon into halves and chop off the extremes in order to provide a good base upon which it will stand.

Empty the seed.

Scoop out the pulp using a round melon spoon and set aside.

Squeeze the orange and reserve the juice.

Peel and chop the bananas and coat them with the orange juice.

Peel and separate the tangerine into segment.

Wash and clean the remaining fruit.

Place the combined fruit into the melon halves and chill in the refrigerator.

Serve cold and enjoy!
