FORMER Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Jibril Aminu, has canvassed the abolition of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), noting that it is not good for the nation’s democracy.
Aminu, who spoke Sunday in Yola at a press conference organised by the Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elders and stakeholders forum, condemned the NGF’s decision forcing the President to take measures that are not healthy to the growth of the nation.
“We are talking of terrorists in Nigeria, the main terrorists are the members of the Governors’ Forum. They are terrorizing ministers, senators and state assembly members. In fact, everybody in the country is under the threat of the Governors’ Forum,” he said. “It is not good for democracy and must be removed for the system to grow.”
Aminu also accused Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, of poor performance.
