Oluwaseun Boyejo is a fast-rising gospel artiste with a bent for Soul, R‘n’B and Hip-hop. His passion for music began at the tender age of nine and his talent found an expression not just in his vocal prowess, but drums, too. Ebube Master, as he is fondly called, following his hit single, Ebube, has worked with established gospel acts including Kore, Kingsley Ike of Wamilele fame and; currently performs as lead vocalist at Christian Pentecostal Mission International headquarters with the extremely gifted Jubal Band. Which was your first single?
I Believe released in 2008. It’s an R&B worship-like song, and after that came Ebube, which is enjoying airplay in radio stations. We just finished work on the video and it will be released for airplay by the end of the month. There are other hits like Don’t Pass Me By, Lifted and I Believe.
Your first time on stage
Wow… I was nervous but eventually came over it. If you are called by God to do something, no matter the stormy situation, you will be victorious.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when dressing up?
Decency and modesty. I love looking smart and savvy, which compliments the industry — showbiz. However, I put God’s image in me first; I don’t want that tag ‘is this one also a gospel artiste?’ Much as I spread the gospel through music, I also represent it with my dressing — adding some swag to it to blend with the time.
The first fashion piece you ever bought and which do you like most?
It’s a suit I bought in 1999, and it was worth N12,000. There are quite a number of items I love wearing but my mood, the event and its dress code determine what I wear. I love looking good and trendy. A jacket, jean and knickers will do it right for me.

Don’t pass me by with efo elegusi (Egusi soup) with assorted meats and Semovita or eba (Garri). Give me this and you will make my day.
First time you had a crush on a girl
That was when I was a kid; you know kids fantasy. Her name is Joy and she is somewhere abroad now, though we still hook up on facebook.
First embarrassment and how did you handle it?
Day I was to perform in a massive event and my belt got cut. I had to roll my jeans twice …

First thing that attracts and piss you off in people
I like people who are honest and straight forward, while liars are more dangerous than a cobra snake.
