Two days, and the fading year would fall, as the greener foliage of 2013 takes its place. Some clerics look at the coming months through the windows of divine intuition and declare a few essentials for a successful year. Of course, the need for the nation to embrace righteousness features significantly.

‘A Terrible Year For  The Wicked, Looters Of Treasury’

(PROPHET SAMUEL KAYODE ABIARA, General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide)

THE New Year is a year of progress; it’s a year of happiness; it’s a year of blessing. Nigerians must not listen to doom prophecies from anybody. That blessing is for those who will move closer to God.

The coming year will be a terrible period for those who are very wicked –those who are corrupt, who have embezzled money. It will be a hard year for all those who are involved in killings, kidnapping and those who are trying to push the country into anarchy. It is a year for them to call upon God and repent of their evil deeds. I urge Nigerians to move closer to God, so that they can enjoy His grace.

‘Must Be Charted With The Fear Of God’

(HIS GRACE MOST REV. EMMANUEL JOSIAH UDOFIA, Primate of the African Church Worldwide)

THE Bible says God was happy that everything He created was good, including the year 2013. That means the New Year is going to be a good year for every good child of God. It’s a year that children of God are going to move from grace to grace and from glory to glory.

As long as we are in Christ Jesus, we will keep on increasing. Our God is not stagnant; our God is not just fixed to a particular spot. Our God is a God of increase. He is a God that prospers His children. As long as we key into His programme, we are bound to make progress. We are bound to grow from strength to strength.

Having said that, I want to admonish Nigerians to seek God and His righteousness. When we fulfill the conditions of God or His purpose in our lives, the Bible says that all other things shall be added unto us. So, whatever we desire or need from God, when we seek His righteousness, God will be pleased to bless the country. God will be pleased to prosper us. He will be pleased to give the country the peace it desires. There can be development only in an environment of peace. So, Nigerians should fear God.

Again, according to Isaiah 43:7, in the New Year, we are going to move gloriously because we are meant for God’s glory. And everything will manifest in the things we do or lay our hands on. It is well with Nigeria and Nigerians.

‘It Will Bring Fulfillment Of Divine Promises’

(PASTOR BANKOLE JEFFERSON, Presiding Bishop of Mercy Tabernacle, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos)

THE message of God is: those who passed through tests in 2012 will find 2013 a year of testimonies. A lot of people went through trials and tribulations in the past years, especially in 2012. Many were tested beyond measure. God is saying that He will bring testimonies to people’s long awaiting prayers and divine promises they have been holding on to.

Even in our nation, we will see significant testimonies of good government. It’s going to be a year of fulfillment of promises and manifestation of expectations, especially the expectations of the righteous. It’s a hopeful year.

For Nigeria to make progress in the New Year, President Jonathan should eliminate corruption in every facet of the economy. If he will be bold to face corruption and corrupt officials, the plan of God concerning this nation will be achieved.

He should give Nigerians electricity. People are ready to work, but where there is no power, you are in a difficult situation. There is no encouragement.

In spite of all that is happening, I want to assure Nigerians that there is hope. God is healing this nation because of the righteous in the land. We are praying and we will continue to pray. There is hope for this country. But if the government is indifferent, I’m expecting a revolution.

Christians should continue to hold on. God will visit every one that is sincerely calling upon the Him.
