AFRICAN Fashion Week London (AFWL) will on Sunday, April 14, open Studio 29 Boutique, an extension of its brand, to the public in Lagos.

The operation is a response to demand for the exclusive pieces featured in its runway events.

As part of activities for the launch, the gorgeous rapper, Eva Alordiah, who is also the fashion ambassador for the first campaign, will dress in a series of award-winning AsakeOge brand for the public to feel the fabulous, black and beautiful stock of the boutique.

Stocking the best of African fashion from African designers around the world, Studio 29 will after opening the Opebi Road, Ikeja office, site another outlet in Lekki also in Lagos, before moving to Oxford Street, London.

With London-based multiple award winning brand such as Adebayo Jones and other exotic pieces from designers such as Zebra Living, Kola Kuddus, Violet Couture, Mademoiselle Aglaia and Nene Kester, the boutique hopes to cater for the everyday needs of fashionistas across the globe.

According to the founder of AFWL, Ronke Ademiluyi, “Studio 29 is set up to give women and men access to lovely runway pieces without having to break the bank. We recognise the increasing rise of cost and we want to fill a gap in the market.”

The London-based designer, Asake Agoro of the AsakeOge brand, who styled the shoots says, “partnering with AFWL is a step towards giving our fans in Africa access to our ready-to-wear pieces and bespoke services.”
