ARE you noticing the green juice movement happening around you? People are catching on to the fact that juicing helps reverse aging, reduce inflammation in the body, boost energy levels, regulate the bowels and can even help you shed a couple of pounds.
This glass of goodness balances your pH and gives you a direct shot of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein and oxygen. If you're new to the green drink revolution, try making your own green juice at home by following these simple steps:
• Choose Your Leafy Greens — Kale, spinach, Swiss chard and romaine lettuce are all excellent choices.
• Choose a couple more alkaline veggies — Broccoli stems, cucumber, celergy, fennel are divine selections.
• Choose your fruit — Green apples and pears are fabulous.
• Spice it up — 1/2 to 1 inch of ginger root will do the trick.
• Put the ingredients through a juicer or blender & nut milk bag — Cut the veggies, fruit and ginger into chunks that can fit through the juicer and let the machine work it's magic.
• Squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice on top —Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice into your mix, stir and pour into a fancy goblet (the fancy glass makes it taste even better).
