A LANDMARK judgement has been given in a case involving a notable former military governor, top politician of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), close ally of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Director-General of the Yar'Adua Presidential Campaign Organisation 2007. On Monday, October 26, 2009, Chief Olabode George, Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) under the Obasanjo administration, along with five other members of his board were sentenced to 28 years jail term without an option of fine by an Ikeja High court.
