TO successfully tackle challenges in 2010 and beyond, Subaru family has restructured Legacy offspring with more innovations, including sleek interior, diverse engines among others.

The redesigned Subaru Legacy also offers standard all-wheel drive coupled with various functionalities, which is unique in its class of sedan.

Welcoming the new product to Nigeria, recently, Subaru Motors Nigeria Limited (SMNL) said Legacy has been revamped with improved packaging resulting in extremely comfortable and resilient sedan.

According to the Managing Director of Subaru Motors, (Nigeria), Mr. Koffi Sagoe, Legacy now comes with a vast of improvements and technological upgrades to better give customers superior performance and comfort.

Sagoe, in his speech during "a special preview" of 2010 Legacy Outback and Sedan in Lagos said what other vehicles offer as options are available in Legacy as standard.

He said customers can choose from four variants which include Legacy 2.0 (Automatic) transmission fabric, Legacy 2.0 (Automatic) transmission leather, Legacy 2.5 (Automatic) transmission leather and Legacy Outback 2.5 Automatic transmission leather.

In addition to its larger cabin, distinctive power trains and standard all-wheel drive, the 2010 Subaru Legacy features a modern interior that can be outfitted with a full range of electronic gadgetry for buyers so inclined.

Legacy Sedan also boast of a turbocharged version of the 2.5-liter that cranks out 265 horse power and 258 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel.

In terms of safety, standard safety equipment on the Legacy includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control, airbags among others.

"The Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) is now standard on all models of the Subaru Legacy 2010, in conjunction with brake assist which helps in balance and stability.

"Subaru knows that you can never be too safe, that is why the Subaru Legacy 2010 has a new cradle structure that has further improved collision safety performance. This new design provides for better stability and rigidity to reduce noise and vibration but topmost is a safety feature that increases the crumble zones by allowing the engine/ transmission assembly to tilt upwards/ downwards away from the driver in the event of impact", said Sagoe.
