FORMER international, Tajudeen Disu, has disagreed with Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh, on his assessment that the Pharaohs of Egypt are no longer as good as they used to be four year ago.

The Super Eagles have a double-header game with the Pharaohs next month in the qualifiers for Gabon 2017 AFCON and Oliseh was quoted to have said that the Egyptian side is no longer good as it used to be.

Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, Disu wondered why Oliseh should make such statement asking: “Is the Super Eagles’ rating the same as four years ago?

“To me the present Super Eagles are much weaker team compared to the Eagles we had four years ago. Sincerely speaking, the Egyptian team is very strong as always. They are not the Niger Republic, Benin or Togo that you can say yes we will beat any time. So the Eagles need to be battle ready for the two matches.

“The current Super Eagles can never be compared to the Eagles of old, so if the Egyptians had problems in the recent past as regards their performances, definitely the same thing can be said of our team too.
But right now, the Pharaohs are a very strong side. To me, Oliseh actually got it wrong if actually he said so.
