SURULERE

SOME members of the cast of The Audrey Silva Company latest work, SURU-LERE- Rita Dominic, Lala Akindoju, Beverly Naya, Seun Ajayi and Gregory Ojefua were on the Beat FM late evening show during the week.

They were there to promote the new work, which has been generating a lot of buzz, and it should, considering the quality of the cast and the antecedents of those behind the movie.

They got so up close and personal with the host of the show, who kept on throwing questions at them. And they were all so on point whenever a question was thrown at them.

For instance, the dependable Rita Dominic asserted that there was nothing like “new Nollywood” and the industry was merely evolving, when the host categorised some of the works being produced now as such.

Akindoju admonished new entrants to belong to the “community” (attend auditions, volunteer, get mentored and mix freely) if they want a place in the stars.

Beverly Naya left listeners of the station with a quotable quote: “a NO is not NEVER, but simply NOT YET,” in response to a question on how many times one has to attend auditions to get a role.

The movie, as directed by the dependable Mildred Okwo, would be in cinemas across the country from February 12.
