Okorocha lauds Buhari on Nwajiuba’s appointment as VC
IMO State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the appointment of the former Dean of the School of Post Graduate Studies of Imo State University, Owerri, Prof. Chinedu Nwajiuba, as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Ndifo, Alike, Ebonyi State.
In a statement at the weekend, signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor applauded for recognising the virtues of the Agricultural Economist, who is well accomplished in his academic field.
Okorocha said the appointment should not be surprising to anyone, as Nwajiuba ha proven to be a distinguished scholar.
He urged Nwajiuba to continue being a good ambassador of the state, urging him to seek the face of God so that he would be granted the required enablement to justify his appointment.
The Guardian gathered that Nwajiuba was a delegate at the National Conference during the administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, some years ago.
