African countries have been urged to capitalize on the advantages of the use of Internet of Things (IoT) to boost their businesses.
Dr Evans Woherem, the Chairman of Digital Africa Global Consult Ltd, gave the advice in a statement made available to the News

Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos.

He said that IoT was changing the business playing field, as such the African continent could not afford to be left behind.

According to him, IoT is creating opportunities for new sources of revenue, smarter interactions with customers and greater efficiency.

He, however, noted that though IoT created opportunities for new sources of revenue, it also introduced new technical challenges.

Woherem said, that as the IoT moved to the mainstream business eco-systems in Africa, enterprises needed to be ready to fold increasingly intelligent assets into the IT landscape.
