THE female lawyer who allegedly stabbed her husband to death in Ibadan, Yewande Oyediran, is to be prosecuted at the state High Court.

Oyediran, who was ordered to be remanded in prison custody by the magistrate, Kehinde Durosaro Tijani, is being held for allegedly stabbing her husband at their Akobo residence.

The police prosecutor informed the court that the legal advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) indicated that the accused person has a case to answer in the death of her husband and that the magistrate court has no jurisdiction over the matter.

The accused works with the Directorate of Public Prosecution in Oyo State, which has caused fear among the deceased’s family members that they may not get justice in the matter.

But the release of the legal advice within a week may have allayed the fears of the deceased’s family members.
