WITH daily dwindling of oil prices globally, exploring and maximizing the benefits of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), could help to cushion the effects on the citizenry.

This was the view of the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PageOmni.com, Abiodun Sowemimio, in Lagos.

Sowemimo noted that the richest people in the world are into ICT. He stressed that if a young man like Mark Zucherberg can be one of the world’s billionaire with net worth of $47.5 billion, “then you should know that if you channel any business on ICT, you are on top of the world because the biggest investment you can make is advertisement. The money in advertisement is more than crude oil and the biggest form of advertisement is E-Advertisement that is Internet’ there is a limit to where television can get to; even CNN cannot get to everywhere, whereas Internet does. As you know, the world is changing faster into technology.”

According to him, there are companies interested in the African market and the only way to connect to people is through advertisement, stressing that if more people are involved in ICT legally, more people will be employed.

Sowemimo said government can also train people on the use of ICT if the impact must be fast and visible.

Speaking on PageOmni.com, he said the firm has attracted the attention of millions of people from over 100 countries including the U.S with over 500 million users.

He said: “unlike the Facebook, Google and Twiter, which are mainly social media networking websites, PageOmni.com is unique solving world problems that no other website, problem like vehicle theft, property theft, helping the police to track criminals, missing person, report criminal activitie, among others.”
