The intrigues of politics of shame and deceit
Must be bared and shamed for the thriving of Democracy, @Austin OSINACHI. It seems the Courts are awakening to their Constitutional responsibilities. A strong Judiciary is an antidote to corruption, impunity and the chaos that wreaks havoc on the efficient governance of our system; Local, State and the Federal tiers of Government. One now for the Courts and several more to go.
Supreme court on rampage! Second time to deal with Andy Uba!
This is a Party issue. Another set of PDP contestants took their case in terms of Nomination for the election in 2015 to Supreme Court. What it means is that the candidates who took them to court are declared as the authentic PDP candidates for the election. Once, the reporter should have known better that litigation on National Assembly elections end at the Appeal Court. So, it makes no sense saying that the Apex Court (Supreme Court) voided the election of Uche Ekwunife.
correct!
Not true bro
This is good news, wow! The era of wishy-washy politics is gone forever. Congrats Gov wike… now, nobody can say the ruling party is hubnobbing with the judiciary arm of government anymore. May God continue to bless Nigeria ijn, amen!
The Mandate of the House of Representative election for Awka North and South won by an APGA Candidate should be given back to him as it is very Glaring that the PDP candidate obtained it through Fraud.
This is a Party Pre-election issue. Another set of PDP contestants who belong to another faction of the Party took their case in terms of Nomination for the election in 2015 to Supreme Court. What it means is that the candidates who took them to court are declared as the authentic PDP candidates for the election. Once, the reporter should have known better that litigation on National Assembly elections end at the Appeal Court. So, it makes no sense saying that the Apex Court
(Supreme Court) voided the election of Uche Ekwunife. In this case, it maybe Ifeanyi Uba, Annie Okonkwo, or Obiora Okonkwo groups. PDP still retains the Senatorial Seats.
You are not in tune with realities. All Election litigations end at the Supreme Court
Can you read your comment once more? Like you said “all election litigations end at the Supreme Court”. I would suggest you go have a look at the Electoral Act 2010 as amended. FYI, Only Governorship, and Presidential elections end at the Supreme Court. All National Assembly and States Assembly elections end at the Appeal Court. Pre-election Candidates and Party issues terminate at the Supreme Court. The issue in Anambra PDP at the Supreme Court is the State branch leadership litigation. It has nothing to do with the election conducted in 2015, rather it is to determine the real and authentic party leadership in the state from among various groups in the Party (PDP).
This ruling by the SC shows that a great part of our political problems stems from our timidity, our docility and willingness to accept rubbish even when it is forced into our throats. We have nothing to lose by taking certain suspicious cases to the apex court. Bravo SC! Bravo Anambra!
No Good News about this PDP. Continue to sound like an apparatus for BIAFRA Agenda to destroy NIGERIA. Web of conspiracy, ineptitude, unscrupulous elements of all forms. Then when they lost, the cry for BIAFRA Became very loud.
All those who defected must be banned from practicing partisan politics.
We will review and take appropriate action.
