Toyota is celebrating back to the future with a Tacoma pickup made to look just like Marty’s and a Mirai fuel cell vehicle done up like Doc Brown’s time machine in place of the DeLorean.

Using Back to the Future Day to show off its hydrogen fuel cell car, Toyota reunited Back To The Future II’s Marty McFly and Doc Brown to talk about the real life innovation that the film predicted 26 years ago.

The video was first teased to YouTube users by showing Christopher Lloyd (who played Doc Brown) and Michael J Fix (Marty McFly) as they debate the realities of what the real 2015 has achieved compared with the one that featured in Back to the Future (BTTF).

Most outrageous is the concept based on the Mirai. The already futuristic fuel cell vehicle has been decked out in collaboration with MV Designz to look like Doc Brown’s time machine. It comes complete with two gullwing doors, an air suspension, 19-inch wheels, blue LED lighting, brushed aluminum paint, head-up display among other features.

The Japanese automaker also recently released a 2016 Tacoma truck tricked out to look like the one Marty McFly lusted after. That means a black paintjob, loads of KC auxiliary lighting, knobby off-road tires, tubular bumpers, mud flaps, and special badging. Between the Tacoma and the Mirai time machine concept, there’ll be plenty for nostalgic fans to check out at the tuner expo in Las Vegas this week.
