Optimistic First Bank leaves for Angola Thursday

First Bank Basketball Club are hopeful of a good outing at the Africa Women Champions Cup, which takes place in Angola from November 27 to December 6.

The team will arrive in Nigeria today after staying back to train in Cotonou, Benin Republic, where they defeated compatriots, Dolphins, to emerge the zonal champions.

An official of the team disclosed that the Elephant Girls, as the team is called, would depart Nigeria for Luanda on Thursday where it will do battle with top teams in the continent.
 
The official also said that the players would move to camp before they depart for the championship so that they would remain focused for the task in Luanda.
