PREMIUM Pension Limited has continued to emphasize the need to adopt health-improving lifestyles to enhance the achievement of both organizational and industry goals. The company’s corporate predilection for general wellbeing was manifest in their just concluded management retreat held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme of the retreat was “Lifestyle Modification for Peak Performance.”

“A positive balance sheet and consistent good returns on investment without a foundation of good health anchored on positive and healthy lifestyle is like building castle in the air” said Mr. Wilson Ideva, the managing director and chief executive officer of the company while addressing the management during the retreat. “We are also recommending positive lifestyles and accordance of high premium to health to all our clients and retirees whose longevity would impact positively on our business.”

The retreat which was facilitated by the Byron Institute dwelt extensively on the need for executives to modify their lifestyles to ensure peak performance. It identified that stress of all kinds and causes are major factors affecting performance in work places. It also emphasized the importance of recognizing and paying adequate attention to mental health and also developing strategies for personal wealth creation as it impacts positively on financial stress management.

The high incidence of sudden death among executives in the country was decried during the retreat while members of staff were enjoined to adopt healthy lifestyle which encompasses healthy eating habit, physical exercises, relaxation and proper organization of activities.
