The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) yesterday said it would support the planned probe of the administration of Lucky Igbinedion by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

Addressing newsmen in Benin City, chairman of the group, Samson Isibor urged Oshiomhole to set up a panel of inquiry to investigate actions and inactions of the Igbinedion’s administration to ensure transparency and accountability.

He particularly urged the state government to probe the establishment and controversial sale of companies by the then state government.

Isibor said the group is opposed to agitations in some quarters that Oshiomhole should tender apology to the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion over the recent Land Use Charge just introduced by the state government.

This decisions he said were reached after an extra-ordinary meeting of the CRPP in Benin City.

“We stand by the Comrade Governor. Nothing will happen to him. He should not apologies to anybody. We condemned in strong terms the protest by some sponsored misguided elements, selfish individuals and groups to discredit the Comrade Governor developmental dispositions. We expect the Governor to take good advantage of the dry season to step-up the developmental strides and complete all ongoing projects,”‎ he said.
