Bassey, Okocha, Agali for VCN Cup final
Renowned Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA official, Paul Bassey, former Super Eagles’ players, Victor Agali, Austin Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Tajudeen Disu, Etim Esin and Henry Nwosu are among stars billed to grace the Second VCN Sports U-15 Soccer Challenge involving Fortune Football Academy and TAO Football Academy at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Lagos, tomorrow.
Other special guests expected at the occasion include the immediate past chairman of the Surulere Local Council, Tajudeen Ajide, Martin Muoghara, Casmir Emenim, Idowu Egboje and former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Joe Erico.
Speaking on the event yesterday, the sponsor, Victor Nwaribeaku, said the winner of the final will get N200, 000 in addition to a giant trophy, while the first and second runners-up will receive N100, 000 and N50, 000 respectively.
To get the final, TAO Academy trashed Smart Strikers in the first semifinal, while Fortune Academy outclassed Bora team 5-4 on penalties in the second semifinal.
