NYSC members de-worm 1000 in Cross River

The beneficiaries were from Adiabo Community in Odukpani Local‎ Council where the Obong of Calabar hails from.

The intervention by the NYSC group was part of their Community Development Service (CDS) in line with the mandate of the scheme.

Besides the de-worming exercise, ‎the group also distributed anti-malaria drugs, cough syrups, insecticide-treated nets and carried out a number of tests on sugar level, hypertension among others worth millions of naira.

Speaking during the event, the president of the group, Solomon Oko-Oboh and the organising secretary, ‎Anabel Anthony, said: “We decided to rendered selfless services to our fatherland because the intention of the founding fathers was to unify the country through selfless services.
