Football: Man City’s Silva injured on Spain duty
Premier League leaders Manchester City suffered another injury scare as David Silva limped off 10 minutes into Spain’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Luxembourg on Friday.
The 29-year-old playmaker picked up an ankle knock after receiving a heavy challenge by Lars Gerson and was replaced by Manchester United’s Juan Mata.
It is the second injury blow for City in as many days as Sergio Aguero is expected to be sidelined for a number off weeks after he limped off with a hamstring injury in Argentina’s 2-0 defeat at home by Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
