Super Eagles’ Captain, Vincent Enyeama, was the latest player to arrive at the team’s Belgium camp in preparation for the two international friendlies against Congo DR and Cameroun.

Nigeria will meet Congo tomorrow and take on Cameroun on Sunday.

Enyeama buried his mother at the weekend and arrived the Eagles’ Hotel Verviers camp yesterday.

He is among the foreign-based stars, who will battle for shirts in the games scheduled by Coach Sunday Oliseh as warm up matches ahead of the World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifiers billed to start later this year.

The Super Eagles commenced training for the two international friendlies with 15 players at the R. Battice FC training ground on Monday evening.

The other foreign-based stars in the team are John Mikel Obi, Carl Ikeme, Elderson Echiejile, Efe Ambrose, William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun. Also in the team are Sylvester Igbonu, Rabiu Ibrahim, Ogenyi Onazi, Obiora Nwankwo, Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Emmanuel Emenike and Alex Iwobi.

However, the six home-based players included in the team have not arrived in Belgium due to visa hitches.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials were still battling to convince the Belgian authorities to issue visas to Femi Thomas, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chima Akas, Austin Oboroakpo, Paul Onobi and Prince Aggrey, so that they will join their mates ahead of the matches.

The federation fears that as things stand the players may not make it on time for tomorrow’s game.

Also likely to miss the matches are the team’s medical crew comprising doctors and physiotherapist, who are still marooned in Abuja.

An NFF official said yesterday that the federation could resort to hiring medical personnel from Belgium to work with the team.

But Super Eagles’ Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, told The Guardian that everything was ready for the games, adding, “The Super Eagles are already training for the games. At this moment, the team doctors, the invited Home-based players, including the Media Officer, have not received the Belgian visas.
