The event in three categories of Open, Horse Betting Odds Ladies and Under-14 is open to everybody who feels he has what it takes to challenge the best players in the land.

According to a statement by the organisers of the tournament, some of the biggest players in Nigerian chess will be playing. “Fide Master Abimbola Osunfuyi has already announced intent of participating.
