Izamoje wants NFF to endorse Cowbell Football Academy
OWNER of the country’s pioneer sports radio, BrilaFM, Dr. Larry Izamojoe, has called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to endorse the Cowbell Football Academy (CFA) as the substitute for the missing conveyor chain required for the national.
Izamoje, who gave the advice during the closing ceremony organised for the Cowbell Football Academy Summer Camp 2015 held at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium, Lagos, said the challenges currently confronting the nation’s football teams were as a result of the gap existing between those teams and grassroots football.
He praised the quality of training young footballers were exposed to during the camp, saying without corporate support for the game of football in Nigeria, it would be difficult to get the perspective right.
“The people in the Glass House should endorse this laudable initiative behind the Cowbell Football Academy. They should use it as a replacement of the conveyor chain for the national teams, which of course, is not there at the moment. Without corporate support, it is difficult to do things like this.”
CFA is an initiative of Multisports Services & Entertainment Limited and sponsored by Cowbell Milk, produced by Promasidor Nigeria Limited.
Speaking earlier at the occasion, NFF’s Vice President, Seyi Akinwumi, said the event, meant for youth development, was close to his heart.
