Four New Directors For National Troupe of Nigeria

FOUR Deputy Directors in the National Troupe of Nigeria Mr. Elemi Hilary Omogor, Ayanwu Chidozie Michael, Ayodele Bisi and Adejoh Lawrence Wada have been promoted to the rank of Director effective January 2015.

FOUR Deputy Directors in the National Troupe of Nigeria Mr. Elemi Hilary Omogor, Ayanwu Chidozie Michael, Ayodele Bisi and Adejoh Lawrence Wada have been promoted to the rank of Director effective January 2015.

Their promotion followed a promotion examination exercise that was conducted and supervised by officials of the Human Resources Department of the parent Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation on August 10, 2015.

Mr. Elemi who was formerly Deputy Director Technical and Production Services is now Director of the same department while Barrister Ayanwu who holds a BA and an MFA in Theatre Arts from the University of Calabar in addition to an MS.c in Mass Communication and an L.L.B from the University of Lagos respectively takes over as substantive Director of Music.

Mr. Elemi holds a BA and MA in Theatre Arts of the University of Calabar. He joined the services of the National Troupe in 1983 while Mr. Ayanwu joined in 1989.

Also, Mr. Bisi Ayodele who holds a BS.c in Sociology of the University of Ilorin was promoted to the rank of Director in charge of Human Resource Management, while Mr. Adejoh Lawrence Wada who holds a BS.c in Economics from the University of Maiduguri and an MBA and MSc in Financial Economics from the Lagos State University among several other academic and professional qualification was promoted to the rank of Director in charge of Finance and Account.

Mr. Ayodele joined the services of the National Troupe in 1991 while Mr. Adejoh joined the National Troupe in 1993. The National Troupe of Nigeria is a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation. Mr. Akin Adejuwon is the current Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer of the apex performing arts institution.
