UNIBEN VC Hails The Guardian Newspapers

VICE CHANCELLOR of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Prof. Faraday Orumwense, is happy that The Guardian Newspapers is contributing to the development of his students by offering them platform to practice journalism while in school.

He made this remark while receiving Campus reporters of the University, Eddy Uwoghiren, a 300 level Medicine and Surgery student and Ezekiel Efeobhokhan, a 400 level, Pharmacy student in his office.

Head of the delegation Uwoghiren stated that the visit was to congratulate the VC on his appointment and intimate him of their activities as campus journalists.

Commending the VC for sustaining the tempo of infrastructural development the former VC, Prof. Osayuki Oshodin, started, the reporters promised to project the school to the outside world.

Responding, the VC commended them for making public, events that have been going on in the university through The Guardian Newspapers.

His words: “The Guardian Newspapers is helping students to channel their energy into productive ventures; it surely deserves commendation for this.”
