‘StarTimes’ Deal With Bundesliga Will Deepen Nigeria’s Sports Market’

According to Bolaji, with stars like Frank Ribéry and Philipp Lahm in action for heavyweight clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, the Bundesliga being the number one football league globally in the world in terms of average attendance, can outclass other European leagues in Nigeria in terms of popularity.

The Bundesliga is watched on television in over 200 countries globally. The league also boasts some of the most expensive players in the world in the squad of its top teams so it would definitely bring a lot of excitement to Nigerians,” Bolaji explained.

He said the season will begin in the first week of August and matches will be broadcast live on all sports channels including, Sports World Football, Sports Premium HD, Sports Premium, Sports 2, Sports Life and Sports Focus Bolaji also announced a “Win a Trip” promo as part of Startimes grand plan to mark its fifth year anniversary in Nigeria.

The promo, which kicked off on Saturday, July 18, 2015, will give opportunities to 10 lucky StarTimes subscribers to enjoy all-expense paid trips to Germany to watch and enjoy the thrills and sporting actions of the German Bundesliga football.
