Sokoto State University Appoints Rufai Dean, Faculty of Education

Dr. Saheed Ahmad Rufai of the Department of Curriculum Studies, Faculty of Education, Sokoto State University, Sokoto, has been appointed the acting Dean, Faculty of Education of the school. Dr. Saheed Ahmad Rufai of the Department of Curriculum Studies, Faculty of Education, Sokoto State University, Sokoto, has been appointed the acting Dean, Faculty of Education of the school.

The Registrar of the school, Amina Yusuf Garba, in a letter announcing the appointment said it is with effect from July 1, 2015.

Affrika: Journal of Politics, Economic and Society has also appointed Rufai as the Guest Editor for the December 2015 Special Issue on Education, with the theme, Rethinking Education and Development in Africa: Critical Perspectives. The journal is domiciled in the University of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

Before moving on to the school, Rufai had at different times lectured at University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka and Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo. Rufai has served as an external examiner to a number of universities and publication assessor and reviewer, academic journals and publishing houses.
