COSCHARIS Motors, licensed owner of the Jaguar Land Rover in Nigeria, has once again proven that the future of the automobile industry largely depends on the innovations that come with the Information and Communications Technology (ICT), as the firm unveils its brand new Jaguar XE at the just-concluded Techie+ 2015 Conference and Exhibition, held in Lagos.

The event, which attracted global giants in the technology industry may in the near future become hub of fresh ideas that will determine what becomes of ICT for Nigeria’s start-ups who troop out to grace the opportunity.

Speaking at the event, President and Chief Executive of Coscharis Group, Cosmas Maduka, said the new Jaguar XE was the most advanced, efficient and refined sports saloon car that Jaguar had ever produced.

He added that his organisation would continue to give customers, particularly users who want to be different, the latest and best innovations.

Maduka, who was represented by his General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Services, Abiona Babarinde, said the company decided to introduce the vehicle in an unusual manner because the market underlines the fact that the Jaguar car was also an unusual vehicle.

He said: “We are positioning Jaguar XE as the leading and preferred premium compact sports saloon within the next two years. Consequently, the focus is to project it as a fleet variant and our retail sales directed at hard working and ambitious young male and female executives and entrepreneurs in their late 20s and mid 40s. We have come to know that Jaguar customers are people who want to be different.

The Jaguar XE amplifies this. It immediately catches the eye, standing out from the completion because of its upscale proportions, which makes it look crouching and ready to pounce on the road.”

The Jaguar XE comes in five models which include the XE R-Sport 2-liters, XE Supercharged 3-liter, XE Pure 2-liter, XE Prestige 2-liter and XE Portfolio 2-liter respectively. On the other hand, pricing is crucial to achieving the dealership’s set target within the next two years.
