“Clinical evaluation from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) indicated that she has symptomatic cyanotic congenital heart disease. She has a hole-in-the- heart and requires N3.5million for treatment in India.”

According to her mother, Mrs. Tejumola Nwaruh, a teacher in Beryl Schools, Ikorodu, Lagos, her daughter, who is in Primary 3, started having serious cough after her first birthday.

“She was later rushed to EL Bethel Hospital, Mile 2 in 2009, where she was referred to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

“When we got to LUTH after a series of tests, the hospital said that she has a hole-in-the-heart.”

She said that it was in 2013 that her daughter’s sickness became very serious. “Although since 2009 she has been a patient in LUTH. We have been using the money we got for medical care.”

Unfortunately, her father, Justin, from Imo State, is unemployed. Nwaruh, a member of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Greatness Gate Parish, Ojokoro Village, Ikorodu by Agric Bus Stop, had contacted India Health Consultants, Haryana, India and N3.5 million is needed for a surgery for Chiamaka to regain her health.

Meanwhile, Chiamaka was crying during her visit to Rutam House, thinking it was a hospital.
The mother pleaded with kind-hearted Nigerians, who wish to assist Chiamaka to send their donations to her First Bank account: Nwaruh Tejumola P.
