Foursquare Condemns Same Sex Marriage, Holds Yearly Men’s Retreat
THE approval of same sex marriage by the U. S. has been described as an abomination, which speaks volume of the evil in the society.
This was the position of the National President, Council of Foursquare Men (CFM), Bro Churchil Ayerume at a press conference to herald the 2015 yearly Men’s Retreat, with the theme: “Empowerment For Greater Glory”, scheduled to hold from July 8 to 10, in Ajebo, Ogun State.
Quoting Genesis 1:26-31 “And God said, Let us make man in our image… And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold; it was very good…” he noted that the practice is an aberrance to the precepts of God.
He stated that Nigeria would soon witness God’s glory, where people from all over the world would be visiting, noting that everything that has gone wrong will be addressed and lost glory redeemed.
“The challenges we are facing now are because we are too much in haste. All the things happening in the National Assembly are bound to happen because our Legislators are from different parties and they have their different intrigues. I am positive that at the end of the day, God has His programme for Nigeria, and He will move at His own time,” he stated.
While speaking on the retreat, Ayerume said this edition coincides with the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the movement, noting that the theme reveals that the best is yet to be attained as God is still in the business of building men to show forth His glory.
He encouraged all men to make themselves available at the retreat to enjoy the promised empowerment for greater glory, adding that the attendees should be determined to take something out of the retreat that will impact positively in their lives, families, ministries and businesses.
The Chairman of the Retreat Planning Committee, Bro. Thomas Omorobe said about 10,000 participants are expected at the programme and that adequate security has been provided for its duration, while four doctors and several nurses will be handy nurses to ensure welfare of the people.
