Don’t rate Oliseh by Tanzania match result, Agu begs fans

Super Eagles’ goalkeeper trainer, Aloy Agu, has told Nigerians not to judge the ability of the team’s new coach, Sunday Oliseh, by the outcome of the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania.
Oliseh was recently appointed as Super Eagles coach following the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) dismissal of Stephen Keshi from the post.
The Eagles under Keshi failed to qualify for the 2015 edition of the competition, but Agu says such fate would not befall the team this time. He added, however, that the new technical crew needed some time to reshape the team.
Pleading with Nigerians to support Oliseh and his crew, Agu revealed that the Super Eagles technical crew has been working round the clock to select credible for the team, adding that every player must justify his inclusion in the team to remain part of the squad.
He also confirmed Vincent Enyeama’s position as Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper, saying that more goalkeepers would be invited to camp to learn from him.
“The technical crew has finished its paper work on the selection of players and technical aspect of the team ahead of the 2017 Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania. You should bear in mind that Oliseh just took charge of the team and he needs to be encouraged to succeed.
“So Nigerians should support him no matter the outcome of the qualifier against Tanzania. We have already gotten the list of players that will jostle for positions in the Eagles. Their names will be released soon,’’ he said.

We have a coach from a division 3 side in Europe. What do we expect in return? It’s unfortunate we have our football under the captivity of greedy task masters and incompetent administrator that cares only for their interest.
Never mind the lack of opportunities he has not been given in Europe. Many of our native European players struggle to get a meaningful managarial career in European football. It is a perenial issue which has nothing to do with their knowledge of the game and coaching barges. So child watch this space as we start to give these opportunities to our own. Come-on Sunny, lead out the players in form and stick it to the doubters!!!!!

Ah…Nigeria!!!!
Oliseh should be professional in his approach and have no sacred cows with protected sheds. No one shall be given an automatic right to represent our country. He must be allowed to drop players with assumed ability to be effective in world football. All to often, Nigeria had sellected players on account of reputation and not current form in their club football. We have many players who live on past performances even when their club form does not give them a game. He should also be able to help with the home premier league football. Glory days are coming to the greatest country to every Nigerian home and diaspora. Come-on Super Eagles! Come on Nigeria! Come on Sunday!!!!
