Keshi had approached the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Switzerland challenging the NFF decision to sack him as Super Eagles.

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, yesterday in Abuja revealed that the federation had notified its legal department of the development, adding that the federation would take its time to study the letter and respond to it at the appropriate time.

He also reaffirmed the federation’s readiness to work with new coach Sunday Oliseh to reposition the Super Eagles. “I can confirm to you that the federation has formally been served in the case that was instituted by former Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi.

We have also handed it to the legal department, which is currently studying it. I assure you that the federation will respond to the suit any time the authority demands our response. “We are very ready to cooperate with the new coach because we have seen in him a coach who is ready to give his best to his job.

He is focused and we believe that in him, the Eagles will fly again,” Pinnick said.
