TECHNOLOGY Distributions (TD), leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) distributor, has underlined its readiness to stake a rightful claim for the leadership of the sub-Saharan African market. TD is part of the Zinox Technologies Group of companies.

Chairman of Zinox Group, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, in a chat with The Guardian, claimed that firm currently enjoys 72 per cent market share of the ICT distribution space of the sub-Saharan African markets.

Ekeh said only one South African firm is ahead of TD in ICT distribution in the sub-Saharan, “but I   can assure you that by next year, we shall overtake it and become number one in Africa.”

TD, which celebrates 16 years on May 15, partners Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) including HP, Microsoft; Lenovo; Schneider, Dell, Wiko, Techno, Infinix, Injoo, among others.

Meanwhile, at the retreat organized to usher in the new financial year (FY ’16), TD announced that the retreat provided an opportunity for the company to take stock of its performance and growth indices for the last financial year (FY ’15) was a huge success, with the significant performance figures declared showing an upward trajectory, while putting the company on a sound footing to take a larger share of the market in the new financial year.

While TD’s mainstream business saw a healthy return in its sales revenue, the other arms of the business also put in a strong showing in the just-ended financial year, with TD Solutions impressive book balance complimenting TD Mobile’s pre-dominance in the smartphone sector.

In addition to the ambition of taking a larger share of the market in the financial year, the retreat witnessed the unveiling of strategies targeted at ensuring better value delivery to solution providers, resellers and end-users while building a more rewarding relationship with OEMs and enterprise partners.
“We have come a long way especially as the pioneer in the field. Sixteen years of sound industry experience and excellent operations are just a few factors, which sets TD apart in the market place. This is why this new financial year is a key one for us. Our main focus this year is to position the business more strategically as the market leader in the field,” said Managing Director of Technology Distributions, Mrs. Chioma Chimere.
