APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun

A group, the Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Movement (NDENYLM) yesterday rose to the defence of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, absolving him of bribery allegation made by some members of the National Assembly.

A statement by the National Secretary of the group; Abamojie Soboma Ajudua described the APC national chairman as a man of integrity and impeccable character adding that “the bribery allegation is the figment of the author’s imagination because it is alien to the astute credible life style of the APC Chairman.

The group also criticised Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole for allegedly being among some eight governors of the APC calling on Odigie-Oyegun to resign over the alleged bribery, describing the alleged involvement of Oshiomhole in the call as a paradox because “Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is the governor of Chief Oyegun’s home state, and from the Edo South district (The Benins) that passionately supported Oshiomhole’s emergence as governor in the 2007 gubernatorial election.”
