Interesting! with such a glowing performance, why the sudden exit? This is not looking like a balanced write-up but an advertorial by either FBN to manage the issue(s) at stake or an image making stint by the SUBJECT of the write-up. As a shareholder, his tenure is not rewarding and the market is also not sold by the tribute and paid advertisement. In other climes, performance of CEO are judged by the VALUE created during their tenure, No doubt, FBN is the biggest bank in Nigeria by asset base and brand recognition, Onasanya is not the one that build the brand, he inherited it, he is not the one that took the bank to become the biggest bank in asset, it was there before his coming, he failed to utilize all these and transform the bank to the highest profitable brand, instead, he embarded on changing of the logo of the brand from FULL ELEPHANT to HALF ELEPHANT. No doubt, he made some possitive impact, but i am not sure FBN shareholders will miss him so much, as the reward received from the bank during Onasanya’s tenure can be classified as ABYSMAL.

Wishing him well in retirement.
